An Ohio man has pleaded guilty to sending scores of threatening letters and e-mails mainly to African-American men seen with white women.

David Tuason sent more than 200 threats since 1988, including some addressed to Justice Clarence Thomas.

In a story about Tuason's plea Thursday, the Associated Press reports that a motive for the letters remains unclear.

Tuason, who pleaded guilty to eight counts of electronically transmitting or mailing threatening communications, often posed as an irate white woman threatening physical violence such as castration or bombing.

His sentencing is set for July 24. He could receive up to 10 years in jail and a $250,000 fine.

10 years seems an awfully light sentence.
